High school is an important time in a student’s path, and not only are studies important but also socializing and making friends with new people. That’s exactly what Priyasha Kala has in mind.

Kala is a Junior at Cardozo High School. She’s the treasurer of the Clay Modeling Club. This club emphasizes on creating fun clay projects for students to get crafty every time the club starts. Not only is she a part of the Clay Modeling Club, she is also a hard worker at Key Club. When she is is not at school, she likes to hang out on Springfield.

River and Anda cafe as I have a lot of fun memories of hanging out with my friends there,” Kala stated. Sometimes it’s the little moments in life that make a day very special, to Kala those moments are with her friends.

Like Many students at Cardozo, she loves listening to music. “I think I listen to a lot of different types of music like R&B and pop but some artists that I listen to quite often are Laufey, Brent Faiyaz, The Weeknd and the Neighborhood,” Kala shared. She has a wide variety of genres of music that she enjoys listening to, these artists and groups make up her music taste and help her get through her day.

The architects better watch out, because a new member is working her way to get to her career, too. “I want to go to college, and pursue a career in architecture,” Kala explained. She also shared would like to go to Cornell University, though she believes it’s a farfetched dream. No dream is too small and all dreams come true if you work for your goals.

Kala also gave some advice to her underclassmen peers. “Don’t think that because you got good grades in one marking period you can be lazy for the rest because in the end all of it accumulates and drops your average,” she claimed.

Kala advises to not slack off once you know you have good grades. If you have good grades, you should aim to keep them high and always work hard to keep your grades up and have the best time during these high school years.
