Every Thursday through Saturday, until Halloween, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., you can enter this truly chilling haunted house for free. This is a great budget-friendly activity to do with friends and family that is recommended for ages 12 and older to get into the spirit. Lines are not too long, and the attraction can last up to ten minutes, which is worth it all around.
4. Queens County Farm Museum
Want to have a fall festive day? Then come to the Queens County Farm Museum for free. Come visit and feed animals like sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, and so much more. And to feed yourself, the Donut Shop and Cider Booth is selling apples, apple cider, cider donuts, and so many pies until Halloween. Finally, if you want to take home a pumpkin to carve, visit the Pumpkin Patch, which is also open until Halloween.
3. A Haunting in Hollis
For all of October, come visit this multi-activity home that includes a haunted house, maze, and escape rooms. Rated #1 haunted house in Tri-State, this haunted house is extremely interactive. Run away from killer clowns and blast them with laser guns given to you all through a four-story house, which is a 30-minute experience. And with the escape rooms, which go on past October and last up to 60 minutes, try escaping while being scared by actors. Each activity costs at least $40, depending on what add-ons you include.
2. Fright Fest at Six Flags
If you’re willing to take a little bit of a drive, come to Six Flags to visit their Fright Fest event through September and October. Walk through Scare Zones to be scared by actors who truly put on a show, chilling rides you can experience in the dark, and crazy haunted houses. This is truly an amazing experience for you and some friends, with prices starting at $40.
