Summer is right around the corner and with all of that time off, everyone is looking for ways to spend their time. One great thing to do over the summer is hit up your local movie theater and see new movie releases. With the heat, being inside the movie theater is a great way to cool off on a hot day or, stay inside when it’s storming. Luckily, 2024 has some big blockbusters coming out that you’ll definitely want to see.

Inside Out 2 (June 14, 2024)

In the sequel to Inside Out, the protagonist, Riley, is now a teenager and is going through puberty. As Riley gains new emotions—anxiety, envy, ennui, and embarrassment—all of her old emotions are unsure about them as she goes through a new journey in life. 

Despicable Me 4 (July 3, 2024)

In the sequel to Despicable Me 1, 2, and 3, as Gru welcomes a new member to his family, Gru Jr., he is faced with the task of having to fight against evil again with the help of his family. Criminal mastermind Maxime Le Mal escapes from prison and guns to seek revenge against Gru. 

Maxxxine (July 5, 2024)

In the sequel to Pearl and X, set in the 1980s, adult film star Maxine Minx finally accomplishes her goal of becoming famous. However, as a killer is on the loose in Los Angeles, it reveals her own murderous past.

Twisters (July 19, 2024)

As friends Kate Cooper and Javi work together to test a new tracking system for tornadoes, they come across Tyler Owens, a reckless social media star. Kate and Tyler and their competing teams soon find themselves in danger and fighting for their lives with the extreme number of tornadoes across central Oklahoma. 

Deadpool and Wolverine (July 26, 2024)

As Wolverine recovers from his injuries, he and Deadpool cross paths and team up to defeat a common enemy.
