Seeing as March is Women’s History Month, let’s discuss some great women in history. Specifically, Danica Patrick. This role model is a former NASCAR driver. Her racing career began at the young age of 10 years old with simple go-karts.
After national success in this area, she went on to leave high school to race formula fords in the U.K. from her hometown in Wisconsin. She later switched to NASCAR in 2010 with added triumph. Overall, Danica Patrick is arguably the most prominent female driver in NASCAR.
She has competed full time in the nascar cup series for five years, as well as part time in two others. She went on to be the first, and so far only, woman to win an IndyCar Race. In 2008, she turned up victorious in the Japan 300 Series race. In addition, she is clearly one of the most successful women in the history of American open wheel racing.
After flourishing in the business, Patrick retired in 2018. Fast forward, Danica Patrick is currently a well known entrepreneur and business owner. Many say that these ventures have been so prosperous due to her previous conquests. Starting with her very own launched clothing brand called warrior, she also has authored a book called Pretty Intense while simultaneously being the sole proprietor of a vineyard.
March also happens to be Danica Patrick’s birthday on the 25th! This year will make her 42 years old as we tribute to the great influence she’s had and the impact she’s made on her journey. Seeing as her mark is fairly recent, she will most definitely go down in history as one of the greats as she leaves back her supreme legacy.
Danica Patrick can be seen by girls as a symbol of going for it, no matter what. In a predominantly male career path, she managed to make a name for herself and accomplish further great things in the time she’s spent behind it, and more.
