Snow Globes
Snow globes are an easy and fun craft to make for a great souvenir to have or as a gift to friends and families.
Materials:
- Small glass jar
- Small figurine
- Glycerine (optional)
- Glitter
- Sequins
- Water
- Spoons
- Hot Glue or Superglue
Steps:
- Glue the inside of the jar’s lid and stick the figurine on the lid
- Fill the jar with cold water
- Add 1-2 teaspoons of glycerin
- Screw the lid, you can glue it to be extra safe.
Making Pompoms
Making pompoms is an easy DIYto do. What is really great about making pompoms is you can be really creative in what you want to create. Some creative examples, you can create is flowers, stars, hearts, and many other creative ideas. However if you desire to create the listed examples above, you need a glue gun or superglue.
Materials:
- Yarn
- Fork
- Scissors
Steps:
- Grab the fork and wrap the yarn around the fork as many times as you like. If you want your pom pom to be big use more yarn, if you want your pompom to be smaller use less yarn.
- Cut a smaller piece of yarn and place it in the center, and tie is around the wrapped yarn on the fork
- Pull the yarn out of the fork and cut the two ends of the pompom, trim if needed.
Lucky Paper Stars
Lucky paper stars are a fun and decorative craft to make with friends and families. There are also a great stress reliever to do.
Materials:
- Colorful papers
- Scissors
- Ruler
- A jar,glass, container (anything to store the paper stars)
Steps:
- Cut a long narrow strip of paper about 1 centimeter wide
- Cross the end of the strips and pull one end through the loop that forms. Gently tighten the knot and pull the knot without squeezing or creasing the paper. Press it down and crease. You should have a pentagon shape with a long end and a short end sticking out.
- Fold the short end over, following the edges of the pentagon, so that it does not stick out, if there is excess of the pentagon so that it does not stick out. If there is excess of the petagen width, tear it off or fold it under and tuck it in.
- Wrap the long end around and around the pentagon, following the edges and the folds
- Tuck in loose ends
- Pinch each corner or push in the edges to puff the star up.
Bookmarks
For those who are bookworms. Bookmarks are essential so you can read your favorite book where you left off. With making bookmarks your creativity can run wild with many options to design it. However there are some essential needs to create the base of the bookmark.
Materials:
- Colorful cardstock papers
- Scissors
- Glue
- Decorative items/images
- Hole puncher
- Ribbon or yarn
Steps:
- Choose any color of the cardstock as the base of your bookmark
- Cut the paper an inch long, use a ruler if needed
- Add your decorative images and glue it on the cordstick
- Hole Punch on the top of the bookmark and cut a piece of your ribbon or yarn and create a knot
