Myan Hutchinson is a junior at Cardozo. She is a member of the Gateway program and has been on the honor roll for years, keeping an impressive 90 average and a 3.7 GPA. Aside from her academic achievements, Hutchinson is also active in various parts of Cardozo, including clubs and organizations.
Hutchinson’s leadership is highlighted through her roles in various dance clubs. She is the co-captain of DUCC for the 2024-2025 season and an active member of Judgettes. Her positive and motivating energy has left a lasting impact on her teammates. One of her proudest achievements as a leader was choreographing routines alongside her co-captains for DUCC’s debut performance at the Christmas show.
In addition to her leadership in DUCC and Judgettes, Hutchinson plays a key role as a Gateway hopeful, organizing events like the Christmas holiday party and a teacher luncheon. These events were both successful and memorable, showcasing her skills in being responsible and collaborating with others.
One of the most challenging classes she’s taken is Korean, but she views this challenge as an opportunity to grow. Even though her passion revolves around dance, she plans to pursue it as a minor in college, describing it as her way of self-expression.
Outside of school, Hutchinson enjoys dancing and listening to music. She imagines her future as a college student, building a successful life while using the strong work ethic and collaborating skills she’s developed at Cardozo.
Reflecting on her time at Cardozo, Hutchinson is amazed at how quickly high school has passed and is determined to make the most of her remaining time as a junior. She encourages freshman to cherish every moment, strive for their best, and not be too hard on themselves.
