On Halloween, the senior board and advisor Mr. Torem, organized a haunted maze for the class of 2025. Assistant principal Ms. Clark also helped organize and move the lines. The maze was set up in the Annex building in room AC08, decorated with haunted computer screens, darkness, and scary jump-scares.
Seniors lined up beginning period three and waited in groups for entry. Only seniors with costumes were allowed entry and IDs were necessary.
Ivy Varricchio, a senior board member, explained what it was like working that day. “The morning of, we all had to get to school at 7:30 a.m. to make sure everything was okay before 3rd period, and move all the chairs and stuff in the room.”
She also added that everyone was excited to work at the maze. Before Halloween, meetings were held to organize everyone’s roles and setting up the room. “It was a lot of fun! I’m glad it was a fun experience for everyone and I enjoyed watching people get scared.”
Overall, it was a wonderful experience for the seniors and a special memory for them in their last year of Cardozo.
