From Oct. 17 to Oct. 20, hundreds of thousands of people flocked to New York City for one reason: New York Comic Con.
Starting in 2006 as a smaller version of San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic-Con takes place over four days at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, 429 11th Ave, in NYC.
Every day is packed with hundreds of booths, panels, showcases, elite guest appearances, and gifts. This is where people can find limited-edition items, take pictures in this rare opportunity, and dress up in cosplay to their heart’s content. They can show their true hardcore-fan selves all they want, surrounded by people like them.
Here is a list that brought out people’s inner fan:
1. Bustling & Busy Booths
Dragon Ball Z & Tokidoki Booths
Hundreds of booths filled the stands and entranced everyone that walked by them. Some booths, like Funko, Bandai, Tokidoki, and Scholastics, trailed a line behind them as they unveiled their new merchandise. Other booths, like Crunchyroll, Dragon Ball Z, Marvel, and Webtoon, made perfect backgrounds for thousands of pictures. However, almost all of them gave out free bags, stickers, posters, cards, keychains, pens, and books to anyone that came by.
2. Popular Panel Showcases

Throughout the four days, Comic Con hosted countless panels all around the show floors. Some notable panels included “Fun With Tamagotchi!,” which introduced people to Tamagotchi and gave out prizes to them, “Build Your Own Franchise and Fandom in Webcomics,” which brought in webcomic creators to discuss their success to aspiring writers, “The Quiet Page: The Art of Fear,” which taught people how to write blood-curling horror stories, and “Web Slinging Spider-Man Cardio Workout With Geeknasium!,” which led people through a workout inspired by Spider-man.
3. Sneak-Peaks & Exclusive Showings
