On Friday, Sep. 27, Cardozo will be having their very first Spirit Day of year through the S.O. Leadership Class — Color Wars.
This Friday, students should wear designated colors to represent their grade. The breakdown is as follows:
- Freshmen wear black
- Sophomores wear grey
- Juniors wear white
- Seniors wear navy blue.
On top of wearing your colors, students participating in this event are assigned to complete their tasks —every grade has to take pictures with their assigned teacher in order to gain “points.” Then, they should send their photos to the Leadership class’ Instagram page via direct message.
The tasks are as follows:
- Freshmen need to take a selfie with a guidance counselor
- Sophomores need to take a selfie with the school mascot
- Juniors need to take a selfie with Ms. Millen or Ms. EJ
- Seniors need to take a selfie with Mr. Torem or Chief Chen
Once these selfies are taken, send them to @cardozo.judges on Instagram. At the end, the Leadership class will tally how many selfies each grade got and will decide a winner for best-shown school spirit.
Remember, students are not allowed to leave class to find the designated staff members. They are allowed to complete their tasks during their lunch period, before school, or after school.
