The Girl’s Varsity Softball team at Cardozo High School is one that many students try to get on. Although tryouts were on March 1st, there are still spots open to those who are interested in joining the team or trying a new sport.
Coach Brandow, one of the team’s coaches alongside Coach Cascino, shared “The team so far is doing very well, we are mostly a young team. We have two juniors and one senior and the rest of the team is freshman and sophomore students.”
So far, the team has begun their “learning phase” of the season, Coach Brandow added. Although the team is relatively new and young, he shared he loves coaching the team.
“I love coaching this team, we have a bunch of good players, very eager and willing to learn. And they make the game a lot of fun and they make it very easy to coach,” Coach Brandow stated.
Those who are still interested in joining the team or getting more information can see either coach in room 303. “All you need is a parent consent form and a medical form from the doctor and you can try out and play,” Coach Brandow said.
You can follow the team and their standings on their PSAL profile.
